Quiet chimes the end of day

Updated: Oct 21

Quiet chimes the end of day

Melodies may softly play

A common tune

That tends to soothe the soul

The first part of

The night’s sweet dream

That drift into the flowing stream

of sleep

the piece of man he cannot hold

as peaceful as the act allows

he drifts into the mystic cloud

of thought

which we cannot hope command

No one knows the path of dreams

Direction no man’s mind can see

Our bodies can but rest

Amongst the damn

Rest the smallest part of sleep

The quest of mind a basic need

Deny them both

And suffer till the end

Give the night its solemn due

Let it leave its best with you

Dreams are how

each real adventure begins
